For oxygen users with an oxygen concentrator with a continuous flow up to 5 LPM. It doesn’t matter whether or not you use a humidifier.
Normally, you place your humidifier bottle at the beginning of the oxygen tube, near your oxygen machine. This way, the oxygen must travel a long way through the tube before it reaches your nasal cannula. This can cause condensation to build up in the hose or even enter your nasal cannula. Fortunately, that’s a thing of the past thanks to the Co-Pilot from Captive Technologies! It has a special opening that perfectly fits your humidifier bottle. The result: no more condensation in your oxygen tube.
The Co-Pilot has another important function. Thanks to the flow meter, you can easily adjust your oxygen setting in LPM remotely – from your chair or sofa. You won’t have to walk to your concentrator anymore to adjust the setting. The maximum allowed length between your oxygen concentrator and the Co-Pilot is 15 meters, so it’s perfectly fine to connect a 15 meter oxygen tube to it.
The Co-Pilot is easy to use. We’ll include a manual with pictures and a short explanation to connect the accessories in a correct way. Turn the knob of the flow meter, and you will see the black ball inside moving. Would you like to have an oxygen flow rate of 2 LPM during your oxygen therapy? Adjust the knob until the ball – seen from the front – is on 1/3 of the line at the 2.
A lot of oxygen users use a humidifier to prevent a dry nose and dry throat. But even if you don’t use a humidifier, the Co-Pilot will allow you to adjust your oxygen setting remotely.
